BackGround: Considered among the advanced in yoga, this asana requires you to have strong arms and good coordination. It has many variations. The simplest version. Technique: (1) Kneel. Rest the palms (fingers, pointing towards the feet and spread out) on the floor in front of the knees. The toes should be separated. Leave 3-4 inches of spac3 between the wrists. (2) Flex the elbows and bring the body weight forward on the palms. Raise the body parallel to the ground . At first, keep the feet near the hips, so that both the feet and hands support each other. (3) When the body stabilizes with practice the legs can be straightened so that the whole body is held parallel to the floor. |
