Bhujangasana

Sanskrit: Bhujanga-Asana Bhujanga=Serpent


Indications:
Injured spine, slight displacement of spinal discs, backache, toning of spinal nerves, stimulates digestion, reduces constipation, improves reproductory health.

Contra-Indications:
If you have severe displacement of spinal disks then do only after consultation with your physician

Complementary asana:
Paschimottanasana

Benefits:
Bhujangasana is a great asana for correcting minor spinal displacement. It replaces the discs in the correct position. It causes healthy blood circulation in the abdominal and pelvic region causing improved digestion and health of reproductory organs. It also tones the liver, kidneys and adrenal glands.
